The FD2WI Series Access Door is for wall installation when the door panel must open inward. This design is ideal when an outward-opening door inhibits the movement of people, traffic, or equipment.

This is the only access panel on the market with an inward-opening door without springs. The temperature rise-rated panel is for use where control of the temperature rise and heat transmission is required.

FD2WI Series Access Door Specifications

• Materials: Satin finish galvannealed steel or 304 stainless steel
• Frame: 16 gauge up to and including 30″ x 48″, larger sizes are 14 gauge  Depth = 3-1/2″
• Flange: Exterior flange width is 7/8″. Overall width is 1-1/2″
• Door Panel: 18 gauge, 22 gauge liner, with inside pull handle
• Insulation: The door panel contains 1-1/2″ of high-temperature insulation material
• Finishes: Rust-inhibitive off-white prime coat or #4 polished stainless steel finish on the exterior surface
• Hinges:  Concealed continuous piano hinge allows the door panel to open inward 90°. The hinge is placed on the “H” dimension.
• Panel Closer: The concealed door closer allows the door panel to be self-closing and self-latching from an open position of 90°, as required by NFPA 80.
• Latch: Flush mount 1/4″ Allen key. All fire-rated panels are self-latching with the interior release.
• Sizes: Minimum size 6″ x 6″, maximum sizes 48″ x 60″.
