Metacaulk Box Guard Firestop is a one-component, fire-rated pad for use in electrical boxes. When exposed to fire, it expands and forms a char that seals the opening, preventing flame spread and limiting temperature rise on unexposed surfaces.
Insert it on the inside back wall of an electrical box; it is a highly intumescent firestop material. Metacaulk® Box Guard™ saves labor costs. Box Guard™ is an economical alternative to putty pads. Ideal for use on retrofit jobs.
