The KRP-250FR Non-Insulated Fire Rated Karp Access Door is a flush-mounted access door with mounting holes to facilitate installation. It is a non-insulated access door for wall installation only. Underwriters Laboratories rates it for 1.5 hours of “B” label in walls and up to 2 Hours of wall assemblies. The Karp KRP-250 FR comes standard with a keyed paddle latch.

The KRP-250FR Access Door is a prime coat of rust-inhibitive electrostatic powder and baked enamel. The KRP-250FR Fire Rated Access Door is also available in a stainless steel finish.

KRP250-FR Fire-Rated Access Door Specifications

• Door Frame: The frame shall be 1″ trim and 16 gauge steel.
• Door: 16 gauge steel.
• Hinge: Exposed continuous piano hinge.
• Lock: Automatic closure with interior latch release.
• Latches: The latch shall be a keyed paddle latch (keyed alike), or access doors shall be prepared for rim cylinder locks using our house lock or keyed to your system using an interchangeable core housing.
• Finish: Prime coat of rust-inhibitive electrostatic powder, baked enamel.
• Finish Option: Stainless steel

KRP250-FR Fire-Rated Access Door Options

• The cylinder locking device provides keyed access from the outside of the door. The night latch also has a small thumb latch that allows the spring latch to remain in a retracted position, which provides access at any time.
• Masonry straps secure the installation of Karp’s doors in masonry application.
• Type 304 stainless steel is well-suited for exterior weather or interior hygienic locations such as hospitals, health care, pharmaceutical plants, research laboratories, and food processing facilities. Stainless steel is corrosion-resistant, durable, and requires very little maintenance. Karp’s stainless steel access doors have a No. 4 satin finish, a general-purpose bright finish with a visible “grain” that prevents mirror reflection.
