Karp Access Doors’ new KAD Aluminum Drywall Access Door is a solution for upscale interiors where architects, designers, and building owners want to conceal required access doors.
All hardware is hidden behind a gypsum inlay, which, when installed, blends seamlessly into walls and ceilings. The KAD’s door panel is completely removable, providing unobstructed access to walls and ceilings!
KAD Aluminum Drywall Access Door Specifications
- Trim: 4-piece Aluminum extrusion
- Door: 4-piece Aluminum extrusion with drywall installed
- Frame: The depth of the frame shall be .75″ and is designed for 5/8″ drywall with .125″ compound applied at installation
- Gasket: Gasketing between the door and frame shall be 0.6″ wide by 0.125″ thick continuous gasket
- Door: Drywall insert shall be 5/8″ thick
- Latch: Concealed mechanical touch-latch
- Hinge: Free pivoting hinge
- Finish: unpainted mill-finish aluminum
- Door Assembly: Completely removable for maximum clearance
- Safety cable must be installed to connect the door and frame assembly
