The gypsum inlay conceals all hardware and, once installed, blends with walls and ceilings. The KAD’s door panel is completely removable, providing unobstructed access to walls and ceilings!
KAD Aluminum Drywall Access Door Specifications
- Trim: 4-piece Aluminum extrusion
- Door: 4-piece Aluminum extrusion with drywall installed
- Frame: The designers set the frame depth to 0.75 inches for 5/8-inch drywall with 0.125-inch compound applied during installation.
- Gasket: Gasketing between the door and frame shall be a 0.6″ wide by 0.125″ thick continuous gasket
- Door: Drywall insert shall be 5/8″ thick
- Latch: Concealed mechanical touch-latch
- Hinge: Free-pivoting hinge
- Finish: Unpainted mill-finish aluminum
- Door Assembly: Completely removable for maximum clearance
- A safety cable must be installed to connect the door and frame assembly
