The FCI-400 Insulated, Fire-rated Access Door is designed for use with junction boxes or at access points in a shaft containing life safety equipment. This model provides one-hour temperature-rise protection for electrical conductors.
The FCI-400 Access Door can be installed in a wall or ceiling application.
FCI-400 Insulated, Fire-rated Access Door Features
- Designed for use in an electrical shaft wall or ceiling application where control of temperature rise and heat transmission is required.
- Protects junction boxes or access points in shafts and protects electrical conductors while limiting temperature rise to less than 90° C/162° F at 60 minutes.
- We tested the door in both vertical and horizontal positions to assess the temperature rise.
- These doors have the largest net-size openings available, making them ideal for installing or removing equipment in a fire-rated shaft wall or ceiling.
- Available in any size, from 12″ x 8″ to 36″ x 36″, for horizontal (ceiling) applications.
- Satin finish galvanized steel.
