The DEFS Control Joint (PL093) is a flexible PVC profile designed for DEFS systems. It features a deep V-groove that absorbs movement and helps reduce cracking in wall assemblies. Removable tape protects the V-groove during installation, keeping the joint clean for finishing. The profile also includes built-in 1/16-inch stops to help ensure proper drywall thickness and consistent results. Flanges are installed over two separated sheets of sheathing, with the joint aligned in the groove between the boards to allow controlled movement and a clean finish.
