The KRP-350FR is an Insulated Fire Rated Karp Access Door for Drywall Surfaces and is a universal flush drywall access door with drywall bead and has a textured frame and bead. So the drywall joint compound can be applied in sufficient thickness to conceal the flange. The KRP-350FR Access Door is insulated and rated by Underwriters Laboratories for 1.5 hours "B" label in walls and by Warnock Hersey for 3 hours in ceilings.
The KRP-350FR Fire Rated Access Door is a prime coat of rust inhibitive electrostatic powder, baked enamel. The KRP-350FR Access Door is also available in stainless steel and shall have a #4 satin polish finish.
Frame shall be 16 gauge steel, surrounded by galvanized drywall bead.
Door shall be 20 gauge steel, welded pan type filled with 2" thick fire-rated insulation, and shall be open to 175°, be self-latching with automatic closer and interior latch release.
Hinge shall be concealed continuous piano hinge.
Latches shall be bolt type, operated by either a ring turn or flush key device (both provided and all keyed alike), or doors shall be prepared for locks which shall be supplied by others.
Finish shall be prime coat of rust inhibitive electrostatic powder, baked enamel. The KRP-350FR is also available in stainless steel and shall have a #4 stain polish finish.
