Efflorescence Remover effectively removes efflorescence from EIFS, stucco, brick, stone, concrete and masonry block. It also etches concrete removes efflorescence bleeding and dissolves scale and corrosion.
Efflorescence is the deposition of salts on the surface of a wall. It is a common occurrence in materials such as stucco and EIFS basecoats, typically appearing as a whitish powder. In the case of EIFS or Stucco, the presence of efflorescence is usually in the form of a whitish powder. The presence of efflorescence means there’s water coming from behind, which is not a good thing. It can also mean the EIFS finish is porous and outdoor water takes unbound salts in the base coat and deposits them on the finish as they dry. Water-in-the-wall can be an indication of leaks and other serious matters, so the cause of the efflorescence needs to be determined as part of the cleaning process.
