Metacaulk Box Guard is a one-component, fire-rated pad for use in electrical boxes. When exposed to fire, it expands and forms a char that seals the opening, preventing the spread of flames and limiting the temperature rise on unexposed surfaces.

It is inserted on the inside back wall of an electrical box and is a highly intumescent firestop material. Metacaulk® Box Guard™ saves labor costs. Box Guard™ is an economical alternative to putty pads. Ideal for use on retrofit jobs.
