A unique and hard-to-find upward-swinging fire-rated ceiling access door. The FD2CI Series Access Door has an upward-swinging door that swings into the ceiling recess and has a 2-hour to 4-hour rating for use in ceilings.
When ceiling applications require ASTM E-119 protection, the FD2CI Access Door controls temperature rise and heat transmission. It is designed without springs, allowing easier access through the door opening.
FD2CI Series Access Door Specifications
- Materials: Satin finish galvannealed steel or 304 stainless steel
- Frame: 16 gauge. Depth: 3-1/2″
- Flange: 7/8″ wide. Overall width: 1-1/2″
- Door Panel: 18 gauge with 22 gauge liner and interior lifting handle
- Insulation: The door panel contains 1-1/2″ of high-temperature insulation material
- Finishes: Rust-inhibitive off-white prime coat or a #4 polished stainless steel finish on the exterior surface
- Hinges: Concealed continuous piano hinges allow the door panel to open vertically. The hinge is placed on the “H” dimension
- Panel Closer: The design allows the door panel to be self-closing by gravity and latches the door from an open position, as required by NFPA80
- Latch: The standard factory-installed latch is a flush-mount 1/4″ allen key. The interior latch release is standard on doors.
