Metacaulk® 1000 Intumescent Firestop Sealant is a water-based, single-component, general-purpose, fire-rated smoke seal for through-penetrations on vertical and horizontal surfaces and construction joints. It is a highly intumescent, non-sag caulking grade sealant that is easy to apply and retrofit. It cures an elastomeric seal suitable where dynamic movement is expected in the event of a fire.

Metacaulk® 1000 Intumescent Firestop Sealant will prevent the spread of flames, smoke, hot gases, and water through joint openings and penetrations. No dilution or mixing is required for use. Metacaulk® 1000 Firestop Sealant is applied with a conventional caulking or bulk-loading gun or can be troweled or pumped from the pail.

Metacaulk® fire stopping systems are rated for 1, 2, 3, and 4 hours in accordance with the ASTM E814 (UL 1479), UL 2079, and ULC-S115-95 test standards.
