The KRP-350FR Stainless Steel Insulated Fire Rated Karp Access Door for Drywall Surfaces has a textured frame and bead and is made of Insulated Fire-Rated Stainless Steel for walls and ceilings. Thus, the drywall joint compound can be applied in sufficient thickness to conceal the flange. The KRP-350FR Access Door is insulated and rated by Underwriters Laboratories for 1.5 hours with a “B” label in walls and by Warnock Hersey for 3 hours in ceilings.

The KRP-350FR Fire Rated Access Door is made of stainless steel and shall have a #4 satin polish finish. It is also available in white baked enamel.

• Door Frame: 16 gauge steel, surrounded by galvanized drywall bead.
• Door: 20 gauge steel, welded pan type filled with 2″ thick fire-rated insulation. It shall be open to 175°, self-latching with automatic closer and interior latch release.
• Hinge: Concealed continuous piano hinge.
• Latches: The latch shall be a keyed paddle latch (keyed alike), or access doors shall be prepared for rim cylinder locks using our house lock or keyed to your system using an interchangeable core housing.
• Finish: Type 304 stainless steel is well-suited for exterior weather or interior hygienic locations such as hospitals, health care, pharmaceutical plants, research laboratories, and food processing facilities. Stainless steel is corrosion-resistant, durable, and requires very little maintenance. Karp’s stainless steel access doors have a No. 4 satin finish, a general-purpose bright finish with a visible ‘grain” that prevents mirror reflection.
• Finish Options: Prime coat finish of rust-inhibitive electrostatic powder, baked enamel.

• The cylinder locking device provides keyed access from the outside of the door. The night latch also has a small thumb latch that allows the spring latch to remain in a retracted position, which provides access at any time.
• Masonry straps secure the installation of Karp’s doors in masonry application.
