The KRP-150FR Stainless Steel, Insulated, Fire Rated Karp Access Door is a flush-mounted access door with anchor straps and mounting holes to facilitate installation. It is insulated and rated by Underwriters Laboratories for 1.5 hours with a “B” label for walls and can also be used in a 2-hour rated wall assembly by Warnock Hersey for 3 hours in ceilings.

The KRP-150FR is made of Stainless steel and has a No. 4 satin polish finish. It is also available in white electrostatic powder and baked enamel.

KRP-150FR Stainless Steel, Fire Rated Access Door Specifications

• Door frame: The door frame and trim shall be 16 gauge steel, 1″ wide.
• Door: The door shall be 20 gauge steel, welded pan type filled with 2″ thick fire-rated insulation, open to 175°, and be self-latching with automatic closer and interior latch release.
• Hinge: Continuous piano hinge.
• Masonry Straps:  Masonry straps secure the installation of Karp’s doors in masonry application. These are included on all fire-rated doors.
• Locks / Latches: Latches shall be bolt type, operated by either ring turn or flush key device (both provided and all keyed alike), or doors shall be prepared for locks which others shall supply.
• Finish: Type 304 stainless steel is well-suited for exterior weather or interior hygienic locations such as hospitals, health care, pharmaceutical plants, research laboratories, and food processing facilities. Stainless steel is corrosion-resistant, durable, and requires very little maintenance. Karp’s stainless steel access doors have a No. 4 satin finish, a general-purpose bright finish with a visible ‘grain” that prevents mirror reflection.

KRP-150FR Stainless Steel, Fire Rated Access Door Options

• The cylinder locking device provides keyed access from the outside of the door. The night latch also has a small thumb latch that allows the spring latch to remain in a retracted position, which provides access at any time.
