The KRP-150 FR access door can installed in walls and ceilings and is rated by Underwriters Laboratories for 1.5 hours “B” label in walls and installed in a 2 Hr. The wall assembly is rated by Warnock Hersey and is rated for 3 hours on ceilings. The KRP 150FR-SS is also available in Stainless Steel.

KRP150-FR Fire-Rated Access Door Specification

• Door Frame: The door frame and trim shall be 16 gauge steel, 1″ wide.
• Door: It is made of 20 gauge steel, welded pan type, filled with 2″ thick fire-rated insulation, and shall open to 175°. It shall be self-latching with automatic closer and interior latch release.
• Hinge: Continuous piano hinge.
• Latches: The latch shall be a keyed paddle latch (keyed alike), or access doors shall be prepared for rim cylinder locks using our house lock or keyed to your system using an interchangeable core housing.
• Finish: White electrostatic powder, baked enamel.
• Finish Option: The KRP-150FR is also available in a stainless steel finish.
• Gasketing: Gasketing on 3 or 4 sides is also available; please email us for more pricing information.

KRP150-FR Fire-Rated Access Door Options

• The cylinder locking device provides keyed access from the outside of the door. The night latch also has a small thumb latch that allows the spring latch to remain in a retracted position, which provides access at any time.
• Masonry straps secure the installation of Karp’s doors in masonry application.
• Type 304 stainless steel is well-suited for exterior weather locations or interior hygienic locations such as hospitals, health care, pharmaceutical plants, research laboratories, and food processing facilities. Stainless steel is corrosion-resistant, durable, and requires very little maintenance. Karp’s stainless steel access doors have a No. 4 satin finish, a general-purpose bright finish with a visible ‘grain” that prevents mirror reflection.
