The Acudor FW-5050 Fire Rated Access Door is an insulated access door approved for walls and ceilings. Use it when temperatures rise or heat transmission is a factor.

For drywall applications, this door is also available with a galvanized steel drywall taping bead flange (FW-5050-DW).

Acudor also has two additional options. The FW-5050-UP is an upswing fire-rated access panel where ceiling access and space are a real issue.  Another option is the FW-5050 Stainless Steel Access Door. 

FW-5050 Access Door Features

• Walls: UL-1-1/2 hour “B” label. ULC-2 hour “B” label. Max size 36″ x 48″ Warnock Hersey International 3-hour rated in a non-combustible ceiling. One hour rated in a combustible ceiling. Max size 24″ x 36″
• Inside latch release
• 20-gauge door panel, filled with 2″ thick fire-rated insulation
• Door panel filled with  2″ thick fire-rated insulation

FW-5050 Access Door Specifications

• Material: Steel
• Door / Door Frame: A 20-gauge steel or stainless steel door with a 16-gauge mounting frame. The door is filled with 2″ thick fire-rated insulation, and the flange is to be 1″ wide.
• Hinge: Concealed
• Fire Rating (Walls): UL-1-1/2 hour “B” label. ULC-2 hour “B: label. Max size 36″ x 48” (walls)
• Fire Rating (Ceilings): Warnock Hersey International 3-hour rated in a non-combustible ceiling. One hour rated in a combustible ceiling. Max size: 24″ x 36″ (ceilings)
• Standard Latch: Universal self-latching bolt, operated by either a knurled knob or flush key. For master keying, doors can be prepared for mortise cylinder locks.
• Finish: Steel: 5-stage iron phosphate preparation with prime coated with white baked-on enamel.
