The KRP-150FR Stainless Steel, Insulated, Fire Rated Karp Access Door is a flush mounted access door, with both anchor straps and mounting holes to facilitate installation. The KRP-150FR Access Door is insulated and rated by Underwriters Laboratories for 1.5 hours “B” label in walls and can also be used in a 2 hour rated wall assembly by Warnock Hersey for 3 hours in ceilings.
The KRP-150FR is Stainless steel shall have No. 4 satin polish finish. The KRP-150FR is also available white electrostatic powder, baked enamel.
KRP-150FR Stainless Steel, Fire Rated Access Door Specifications
- Door frame: Door frame and trim shall be 16 gauge steel, 1” wide.
- Door: Door shall be 20 gauge steel, welded pan type filled with 2” thick fire-rated insulation and shall open to 175°, be self-latching with automatic closer and interior latch release.
- Hinge: Continuous piano hinge.
- Masonry Straps: Masonry straps secure the installation of Karp’s doors in masonry application. These are included on all fire rated doors
- Locks / Latches: Latches shall be bolt type, operated by either ring turn or flush key device (both provided and all keyed alike), or doors shall be prepared for locks which shall be supplied by others.
- Finish: Type 304 stainless steel is well-suited for exterior weather locations or interior hygienic locations such as hospitals and health care, pharmaceutical plants, research laboratories and food processing facilities. Stainless steel is corrosion resistant, durable and requires very little maintenance. Karp’s stainless steel access doors have No. 4 satin finish, which is a general purpose bright finish with a visible ‘grain” which prevents mirror reflection

KRP-150FR Stainless Steel, Fire Rated Access Door Options
- The cylinder locking device provides keyed access from the outside of the door. The night latch also has a small thumb latch that allows the spring latch to remain in a retracted position, which allows access at any time.
